Damn it! Sometimes they gotta shut up and let Nadeska speak! She was onto a great point which I've been concerned with for years. And that is, Eminem changed his flow years ago and it's the MAIN REASON why he sounds like trash when he raps today. His flow on Lose Yourself, especially that 3rd verse is a vicious MC. Now he crams way too many words into one sentence and slips all over beats like a wet baby seal. It hurt to walk away from Eminem because he started rapping sloppy. Same thing with Lloyd Banks. When he switched his flow to this high pitch raspy vibe, it made me fall back on him even though the lyrics are still there.

Eminem is extremely talented ..I was never a real fan much but liked some of his previous songs from the Marshall Mathers LP .. 'Walk on Water' is good lyrically but the production is weak and IMO isn't in the Hip hop genre sonically. He needs harder beats (Drum percussion) for this flow IMO.

I think Eminem and his team know what they're doing. When I first heard the song, I instantly thought this is so good, but it's not "single worthy" in terms of radio play and streaming. The "kids" these days ONLY consume "turn up fire beats". I was thinking this would be a perfect opener for the album. It's Beyoncé so of course they'll throw it out as a promo single. But I never pictured it as a first single being that there's no need to listen to it over and over. That's what I think they know very well. Love the way you lie with Rihanna you listen to that over and over that's single worthy. But Eminem is paying attention to the content of walk on water and isn't conforming that type of content for the radio. It's a great musical way for getting buzz.

The song sounds like a letter to himself and fans. He rapped it like he was reading it to a small group people.

I think Em's point in making this song is too point that he does agree that he fell off for bit, but I think he's agreeing with the rumblings so he can show us that he's back to how he was in his first three albums.

its emotional rap of em… listen to the lyrics, still kills any modern day rap dogs.. read between the lines.. he raps for himself and his pain … and he doesnt give a fuck about what pple thinks

My problem with the song is the delivery. As usual the subject matter and lyrics are great but it's just a bit flat in general

Hopefully this is Em's last album because if this is an indicator of it he needs to retire and save himself from being embarrassed. Straight trash B.
