Why is Iyanla acting as if Trina's issues towards her ex husband doesn't stem from being abandoned by her father. Putting all of the blame on their mom but dad dropped them in the most horrible way and just recently tried to make amends. That is a family of broken women. That mother had to heal a broken heart AND raise hurt children who grew into hurt women. Not even a psychiatrist or psychologist could have prevented this catastrophy from happening. Sad

I see a lot of people making assumptions about Trina, Gabe, and Iyanla based off a few clips from a trailer. Could yall perhaps chill out until we actually see the show to get a better understanding of what's going on and why people did or said what they did or said?

Some of y'all have watched Iyanla's show long enough to know better by now. Just chill until Saturday! Please and thank you.

Finally somebody tapped the root of the problem and ALL of their issues with men DO stem from Ms. Evelyn and how she chose to put up with certain behaviors, only to then hold on to bitterness and resentment towards their father when he left. Ms. Evelyn is a hurt scorned woman who has indoctrinated all of the Braxton girls to follow suit and it is evident in their respective marriages, relationships and how they treat others. Ms. Evelyn needs to have a come to Jesus moment and sit with all of her grown daughters and make this right before the Lord calls her home.

Well they have a pathology going on. Parents are divorced, now each of the ladies (except Traci) are divorced, soon the kids will have divorces of their own if they don’t disrupt the pattern

I believe that was the wrong show for Trina.
Why do we feel we have to sound so stern to a grown woman just to get our point across. Trina has a mother and don't need Iyanla talking to her like she can't understand. Maybe this is Iyanla version of counseling. Is this what Iyanla used to. Is this the way people talked to her. Because people can be helped without talking to them like they are her children.

You're not Bishop Jake's. When he spoke it was hard truth but with more respect and sensitivity to their family dynamics.

This seems like a woman whose thinks talking that way works with everybody. It doesn't. Trina doesn't seem like she is hard of understanding. Also don't imply anything about someone's mother.

After years of watching Braxton Family Values (and I do love that show) I drew my conclusion that the root of the issues is indeed that Ms. E. They put her on a pedestal, but her demeanor has always been so harsh and negative. Even the way she talks is so full of hate. I think it affects all the girls in a negative way.

I 1000% agree. Momma Braxton messed those girls up when it comes to having healthy relationships and how to deal with every aspect of the good and the bad

Damn Iyanla! Leave Ms. E out of it.

    March 31, 2018 at 1:47 am

Yes, come on through Ms. Iyanla….truth be told…I know none of us are perfect…but Ms. E. really needs to get her OWN life and learn how to stay out her daughters' lives and homes even if they ask her to stay….It was ok when Vince was treating her like his Mother, etc….now that he is broke or near broke…all hell breaks loose…and they say Birdman really loves Ms. E……he is in for a rude awakening one day in the future also…..Ms. E. needs to see Iyanla also…..she is the root of her daughters' problems….

As much as I love Ms. E that's true…All your girls marriages end in divorce?  Of course Traci is still married, but he is a CHEATER (unless things have changed).

She’s right! Their mother is still bitter and mean years years years after her husband left her for another woman and is still with her. She didn’t know that her girls are watching and that’s why they all can’t keep a husband.

I was so happy to hear Iyanla speak on Miss Evelyn, To me she have always seem to be selfish, hateful and mean, and she has passed this on down to her daughters. Yes they are beautiful, and successful. I still see them being self absorbed, and hateful, just like her.

Looking forward to the episode when Iyanla reads Wendy Williams
