I love Jasmine. I love her personality. I first learned that entertainers create they own publicity stunts is around the time Britney Spears lost her mind (allegedly). Or, perhaps around the time Paris Hilton was a thing. You're not talented so why is the paparazzi always following you? Hell, why do they always manage to find you? That's because they're called ahead of time. See, I didn't know that. As the years went on, I started learning more about the behind the scenes of the entertainment industry. Publicity stunts, media manipulation, code words, artists or the record companies, themselves, buying they own records to make it seem like the artist is really all that, fake relationships, marriages, divorces, etcetera. Speaking of Yoncé, didn't nobody bite that damn girl. I know she's rich, sexy and perfect, but she's typically the one behind all of this drama. She floods the media and the audience eats it up. See, entertainers know that the general public is stu… (slaps wrist – that's a nasty word)… Let's say "naive." Yeah, we'll go w/ naive. The general public is naive and they'll legit believe anything. Kim Kardashian is the prime example. People still believe that fake, staged robbery bullshit she did a few years ago is real. People believe it's real and it was phonier than a muthafucka. This is why I could never do what y'all do, Lenard & Angela. These entertainers would have me shot dead. Now, sure, I can go along to get along (for the right price), but overall, uh uh. If you're looking for somebody to tell you how perfect and amazing you are, I'm not that chick. If you want somebody who's actually a fan on yo' side to review and critique yo' work w/ love then I'm that chick. The only celebrity friends I'd want…ummm… I'd want Brandy, Monica, Mya, Snoop Dogg and a few others as friends because I know that if I say somethin' they don't like, they won't pull the rich card on me. I'm rich and you are po' so you cain't have an opinion about me. That's the type of shit that Puffy and them do. I think Usher Raymond would be a good friend too. Anyway, Lenard, why doesn't Yoncé do yo' show or any other urban media? There's a reason behind it and you know why. I agree w/ Jasmine. Some of these entertainers done got so big to where they cain't do urban media anymore. See, black media gets treated as "fun" or "oh, that's just some publication." It's considered ghetto. People and them are considered "official." If black folks done got too big for they britches then cut 'em off.

As a black media outlet myself I totally agree and hate the way we are treated! Especially with our own. If it’s a black movie or tv show then make sure the black centric outlets get the love too! We are the ones pushing it and getting the buzz but if mainstream gets a hold of it they get the perks and the credit. We work so hard but get little fanfare so Jasmine is right! 100%. Black media need more love too!
