"All the ice cream flavors in the same scoop"

You do realize that would taste absolutely fucking awful, right? Well, I guess it is still a fitting comparison to these superhero movies.

Under the Silver Lake looks like it could be interesting, I really hope they can pull off that mix well (contemporary Noir doesn't always go well).

Uh, you got some of that Fantastic Beasts bit wrong, he talks to Dumbledore in London, so that part is either early in the film or a flashback. You can tell by that tower in front of dumbledore in the first shot of him on the roof, its in London. (Credit to New Rockstars for that, I didn't know that of the tip of my head)

Wait, Sicario: Day of the Soldado is about cops trying to start a gang war? It would take some really dirty, really depraved cops to do a thing like that, and why wouldn't cops that vile simply approach the gangs and ask them for money, and assassinate any superiors who objected? Doesn't make a lot of sense.

After all those disappointing films I saw in 2017 I don't need to be "blown away" as much as "entertained." The only big film I saw worth watching again was perhaps Darkest Hour.

Thank Goodness for a few indie dramas to take the tastes of Baby Driver – Dunkirk – Logan Lucky – mother! – Murder on the Blah Remake Express etc. out of my eye's mouths.

All these movies are like 75 at best. meaning everything from the cast to costumes to anything is at any given time no more than 75 percent good.
