The words mental illness in your title do not seem appropriate here. The majority of humans have some sort of so called mental illness

This video hits close to me. I suffer really bad from anxiety, depression, and spurts of anorexia.. I hate myself for having to deal with all of this.. but it is kinda nice knowing I'm not the only one

You cry and you scream and you stomp your feet and you shout. You say, 'You know what? I'm giving up, I don't care.' And then you go to bed and you wake up and it's a brand new day, and you pick yourself back up again.

I'm not surprised Demi Lavoto is number one on the list. I don't mean that as an insult. She has gone through a lot. When you pay attention to her most of her songs, it's almost like her music had become a coping mechanism for her.

I feel like Demi was number 1 to stay hip. Carrie should have been number 1.

Thank you for doing this list. I've had Major Depressive Disorder for 15 years and also struggle with anxiety and OCD and it is…unfathomably difficult to describe how painful and exhausting it is to cope with everyday life. Seeing some of the celebrities I admire show up on this list was a nice surprise and a little extra inspiration to keep fighting through the next wave of despair. It's always nice to know you're not alone.

This should be on the main channel – mental illness shouln't be advertised and talked about to the female or feminine audience – all kind of people experience mental illness and/or depression.

Most of you gushing about Demi Lovato need to actually get to know her. She is not a nice person and is trying to use her 'mental illness' to garner sympathy. Mental illness is not an excuse for poor behavior and treating others like garbage. She really needs some humbling

Howie Mandel! How many other celebrities are open about OCD and provide inspiration to those who contend with its challenges and limitations?
