I lost my grandfather to colorectal cancer when I was 6, he was the most important person in my life and even though this song was written from a mother’s perspective, I still felt every word as I watched my grandpa battle cancer. This song is so important, I love it. Thank you.

I can relate to this on the part of the constant fear of a parent with cancer. My dad had cancer for a while and he's now seven months clean, so I don't know how to relate to losing a parent to cancer, but I understand the constant battle it is. Every day we watched my dad get thinner, and he had to be fed through these tubes, and it was so hard to watch as a nine year old little girl. I couldn't imagine how it would feel to be told my dad had lost his fight against cancer. Wow. This hit me hard.
